I don't believe that Ferry willingly stepped down. I'm sure it was upper management giving him the opportunity to leave with his dignity. Leave or be fired sort of thing. cause if not, WHY THE HELL WOULD HE LEAVE IN HIS RIGHT MIND?!?!
I guess I don't understand why upper management (ie Dan Gilbert) would be unhappy with the job Ferry's done. Not every single move worked out, but he sure did his best to put people in place....Makes me more nervous for next year!
Word on the street is Ferry wanted total control of operations and Gilbert didnt want to give him that. I'm fine with it only as long as Gilbert is still the owner. After that the Cavs will turn into the Tribe with some Dolan-esque owner I am sure.
